Freesia originates from Southern Africa and most endemic species are found in the Cape Provinces. The intense floral aroma has inspired several fragrance designers to formulate elegant perfumes with a freesia heart.

Brought to Europe as ‘Star of Africa’, it captured many hearts and established itself as the ‘Flower of Aristocrats’.
