Animalistic notes are fragrance components of animal or synthetic origin. They give a pronounced animal character into a scent. The traditional ingredients were musk, amber, castoreum and civet. Natural ingredients were used by perfumers for centuries, but today animalistic notes are reproduced by various synthetic molecules that have become a real breakthrough in the perfume industry. All animalistic notes are used as base notes. We can hear them only 2-3 hours after applying the perfume.
