Hesperid fragrances. Do you know what it is?
Many fragrance families have cryptic names. If chypres and aldehydes are already familiar to most perfume lovers, then who are the Hesperides?
Let us tell you! Hesperid fragrances are made from… citruses! For example, with notes of bergamot, lemon, or grapefruit.
According to legend, the Greek goddess Hera received as a wedding gift three golden apples and planted them in the garden of Atlanta. "Apples" actually were the fruits of the orange family - citruses with a shiny bright orange peel. Later seven daughters of the Titan - the beautiful Hesperides took care of the "apple trees".
In myths, Hercules took possession of the magical fruits, but in reality, every perfume lover can purchase a hesperid fragrance into his collection.
