The Balm contains 13 active ingredients. 

Lipid Complex:This unique complex contains major lipid constituents present in the stratum corneum of the skin- phospholipids, phytoceramides, glycolipids and essential fatty acids (EFAs) from the Omega-6 family. Improves skin moisture, prevents transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and reinforces the skin’s barrier function. 

Retinol ester:A source of vitamin A. After skin absorption, it is converted to retinol and subsequently to retinoic acid. Enhances cell communication, promotes collagen production and encourages the skin renewal process. Rice Bran Oil:Extracted from the germ of rice. Rich in vitamin B-complex vitamins, vitamin E and gamma oryzanol. Gamma oryzanol, a mixture of sterols and ferulic acids, is a potent antioxidant protecting skin from UV damage. Italso demonstrates skin lightening properties. Phytosterols from the rice oil increase elasticity of the skin and keep it hydrated and soft. Hyaluronic acid:A key component of connective tissue. Zelens uses pure hyaluronic acid microspheres with high moisture-retaining capacity. Instantly restores moisture and plumps lips while reducing the appearance of wrinkles.Shiso leaf (Perilla, Japanese mint):Rich in polyphenols (particularly Rosmarinic acid) and triterpenoids (particularly Ursolic acid), natural molecules that demonstrate antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-allergic bioactivities. Shiso leaf acts as a powerful antioxidant defending skin from free radical damage. It helps to prevent skin reactivity and soothes sensitive skin. Shiso leaf is well-known in Kampo medicine for its strong detox properties. Vitamin E:An antioxidant with a key role in the protection of cellular membranes from free radicals. It is the major antioxidant in the human epidermis with strong protective effects against UV-induced skin damage.Sunflower seed extract:Possesses anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties to help protect the skin from external environmental influences. Vegetable butters:The Balm Contains two vegetable butters- Cocoa Seed Butter and Shea Butter.Cocoa Seed Butter- The fat obtained from the seeds of TheobromaCacao (Cocoa) Seed. Demonstrates excellent moisturising properties by forming a barrier on the skin's surface. Increases the skin’s softness and suppleness.Shea Butter-A natural lipid extracted from the seeds of Shea tree or Karite’ (Butyrospermum Parkii). Shea butter has remarkable moisturising properties. Beeswax (Cera alba): A natural wax produced from the honeycomb of honey bees.Beeswax has emollient, soothing and softening properties.
